Returns / Refund

 
Returning a product that you bought online.  In most cases you can return products you have bought online, as the Consumer Guarantees Act and Fair Trading Act provide the basis for Bessemer's returns policy.

Consumer Guarantees Act 1993

 
The Consumers Guarantees Act sets out minimum standards for goods sold by Bessemer.  In the event that goods are deficient or are faulty the retailer has the right to a repair, replacement or a refund.

Fair Trading Act 1986

 
The Fair Trading Act is designed to protect the customer from being misled, either intentionally or unintentionally.  This applies to all aspects of the promotion and sale of goods and services including pricing, where the product was made, where the product is from, the meeting of New Zealand safety standards, availability of products and the sales techniques used.  The Commerce Commission enforces the Fair Trading Act 1986.

Return Procedure

 
We would like you to be very satisfied with your Bessemer purchase, however if there is a reason you are not, it is important you contact us by emailing sales@bessemer.co.nz within ten working days of receiving your order.  In your e- mail, please tell us your order number and the reason for return.  Such as shipping damage, incorrect item(s) shipped, other please explain.
 
One of our team will respond promptly with a return confirmation message and (if necessary) shipment instructions for returning the item.

Refunds

 
Refunds will be credited against your original method of payment, eg to the credit card you used to make the purchase.  If you are returning an item because of an error on our part, we will refund any delivery charges incurred by you.

Cancellation Policy

 
Any orders placed are subject to your rights of cancellation pursuant to the Consumers Guarantees Act.  You may exercise this right by e-mailing sales@bessemer.co.nz.  In each case you must notify us within seven days from date of delivery.  Following receipt of your notice we will contact you to arrange return of the goods.  Goods must be returned in their original condition and original packaging.
 
Please note that the cost of sending the goods back to us, where you wish to cancel for reasons which are not due, to product performance or description will be payable by you.  Shipping charges will not be refunded except in circumstances where the goods are deemed to have been defective.
