Astra Housewares Limited (Astra) is the exclusive importer of Bessemer cookware to New Zealand and has been since 2001.  In 1996 Astra was Incorporated as a limited liability company.  Astra is a privately owned and operated NZ company, based on the North Shore in Auckland.

Having been involved with Bessemer in Australia for over a decade, they came to realise just how special Bessemer cookware is.  The brand is unique in that Bessemer in Australia manufacture and distribute their product themselves, not through traditional wholesalers or retailers.  Their in home demonstration system has been remarkably successful for over 50 years.
